About Sharon

In having the privilege of getting to know so many people, it’s only fair that I share a few things about myself.

Professionally – I currently live and work in Lacombe, Alberta where I direct my practice most commonly to working with First Responders, medical and mental health professionals, teachers and teaching support staff.  The majority of my clients are striving to live a life that not only feels healthy but that feels meaningful, where they can thrive and succeed in their careers while continuing to develop themselves as people, partners, parents, and friends.  I am real, raw, and fairly unfiltered in my sessions.  I utilize a number of different techniques as I perceive them fitting to the challenge or individual.  You are welcome at any time to ask about that.

Personally – please note that should you become a client, I will ask you for 3 random facts about you so in all fairness, here’s some random facts about me:

1) I make a point of reading every morning for an hour because I believe it makes me a better person.

2) I have dreams (note that it says dreams and NOT goals) of one day learning to play the acoustic guitar and speak fluent Spanish.

3) I wonder who I would’ve become if I’d had a dog growing up; my dogs make me a more joyful person.

4) Lego = mindful meditation

5) Coffee and chocolate are basically like air – necessary for survival.

6) I believe in crying, sometimes this business of living is just hard.  I have a few “back pocket movies” that help me find my tears, Free Willy is among them.

7) I often feel surprised when I tell other people about my life, as in like hearing myself I think “wow, that’s pretty spectacular.”  I know I’ve worked really really hard and against the odds to get here but it never stops feeling like a privilege.  And I’m grateful for that.
